I read the header and “Much adored webcomic artist Monica Ray has passed away” and immediately became depressed (until I actually clicked on the link). Even your lighthearted updates are laced with despair!

*phew* I thought someone was dead for real and made a webcomic of their death after their death… I thought super-eagle was some sort of allegory, and then I saw the eagle and then I went back to your comic and was ‘hmmm probably not’ and then read these texts… looks like good stuff! gonna read it all!

Eagle-related death statistics are hard to find! Maybe if two of the big ones work together as a team, or we could mutate them, that’d be pretty neat… oh and give ourselves wings and dogfight with them. Anyway, she’s got good comics, it’s really got spirit. Thanks for the link

Haha, yeah, she does look rather light – not sure how far she’ll make it in Stripsearch unfortunately, most of the other contestants seem more professional than her and she’d been working from 2 AM… she’s got a certain live energy and creativity to her comics though.

I wonder if the Strip Search candidates are let go for some months, or if they join up with PA immediately after winning. If they have problems updating afterwards (unless they’re given enough time to handle their regular projects) or talk less about real life it might be because they won.

The front comic right now is very fortunate (such a quote for a new clone :p)… I think I like it the best of all her comics.
